Shine a Spotlight on an African abroad who is opening doors for others.
Nominees are featured in the Tokunbo Spotlight on the Tokunbo Central website and our social media pages after a short review. The nomination fee is $25, paid securely by card when you submit.
Who can you nominate?
- Pioneers and people who are first in their field
- Graduates and new professionals
- Community builders and volunteers
- Business owners and founders
- Leaders in health, education, public service, arts, culture and sports
Why is there a $25 nomination fee?
Every Tokunbo Spotlight is produced with care. The fee helps us cover the logistics of doing it properly, in a way that honours and dignifies the person being celebrated:
- Reviewing and verifying every nomination
- Reaching out to the nominee and getting their consent
- Writing and editing their story
- Preparing photos and graphics
- Sharing their Spotlight on our website and social media
It also keeps out spam and fake nominations, so every Spotlight means something.
