Frequently Asked Questions

How do I earn tokens?

You earn tokens automatically for taking part: 5 for starting a discussion or question, 5 for sharing a story, 15 for replying to someone else, 10 when your answer is marked solved, 2 for a new connection, 3 when someone recognises you and 1 for visiting each day. Activity earns up to 50 tokens a day. Completing your profile (50), a listing going live (250), a friend joining with your link (100) and being counted in iCount (500) don’t count towards that limit.

What can I spend my tokens on?

Recognising a member (10 tokens), nominating someone for the Tokunbo Spotlight instead of paying the $25 fee (150 tokens), and a Guaranteed Share credit for content you send us (300 tokens, refunded if we can’t share it).

Do tokens expire?

No. Tokens don’t expire. Spending them never lowers your status or leaderboard rank, because those come from the tokens you’ve earned over time. Tokens are taken back only if the post that earned them is removed.

Is this open to all members?

Yes. Every member with a free Tokunbo Central account earns tokens automatically. There’s nothing to sign up for or pay.
