Everyone has an opinion. Which country is best for Africans moving abroad right now, and best for what: careers, family life, cost of living, community or a path to settling permanently?

Tokunbo Central’s answer: there is no single best country. It depends on your profession, family, budget and long-term goals. These are the factors people weigh most:
- Your profession: health, tech and skilled trades are in demand in several countries, but licensing rules differ a lot.
- Path to permanent residence: check how long it usually takes and what it requires. Rules change often, so use official government sources.
- Cost of living vs pay: compare rent and childcare in the city you would actually live in, not national averages.
- Language: English-speaking countries are easier at first; Germany and other European countries often require local language skills for good jobs.
- Community: a strong African community makes settling easier. Our church, mosque and business directories show where communities are.
- Climate and lifestyle: do not underestimate the weather.
- Be wary of agents: verify any relocation agent and never pay for “guaranteed” visas.
Your turn: which country did you choose and why? Would you choose it again?
